I’m Alive. Really.

Wow… over a year.  Good job on keeping the website up-to-date, Sean.

I’ve been SUPER busy with freelance projects and now working a full-time job at ILC (yes, I built that website).  One of the best ways to keep up with my work when I fail to update my site is to Google “Built by The New Language” and you’ll quickly see stuff.  Some pretty awesome projects I’ve done since last updating the site include websites for Blood & Ink Records, Magic Bullet Records, and React! Records, as well as a ton of menial graphics for various Blood & Ink Records marketing type things.

So yes, I’m alive and although extremely busy, would love to do your website and/or webstore, design something for print, or maybe even shoot some photos for you (I actually have a decent camera now!)… feel free to hit me up.

Until next year… haha

…And Again.

When most all you do is make websites, it gets really hard to work on one for yourself (or keep it up-to-date).  I just went through and added a ton of links and a few recent bigger projects I’ve been working on, so hopefully that will do until I find the time to update again.

A couple projects of note:

The newly re-designed and re-built Pastepunk.com launched today!  I’m very happy to have been involved with this as Pastepunk.com has been one of my favorite webzines for years… not to mention I did an old site design for them a few years back.  Moving all their content into WordPress was a fun challenge and should hopefully enable some awesome new functionality for an already great site.

I also neglected to post about it when it launched, but I built a website for Absent Records not too long ago.  It turned out pretty rad if you ask me… although I may be biased.  At first, the design the label passed along seemed next to impossible to implement, but in the end it became a pretty unconventional, yet interesting result.  It’s probably one of the most manipulated WordPress websites I’ve done, using a lot of the features of that platform in ways I’ve never seen quite the same before.

Until next time…

Six Feet Under Re-Build

I’m very happy with a project I recently completed for Six Feet Under Records.  The problem was his current site looked nice, but wasn’t easily updated without getting into the code of things.  As I’ve done a few times with more “professional” sites for non-music clients, I took his existing design and converted it to functioning on WordPress.  Now, the site can be very easily maintained while still keeping the same aesthetic.

I’ve got quite a few projects in the works too.  A good number of webstores, a few sites, and a few maybes that I’m hoping work out.  Stay tuned…
